Percussion Jam at High Valley,

PM, but it is best to call to make sure. Call the High Valley number at
(845) 266-2309, or email
davidbudd@earthlink.net, or call David Budd at (845) 266-8661.
you are invited to explore and experiment with the creation of sound and
rhythms in a safe, non judgmental environment.
Bring your own percussion instruments (djembe, bongos, frame drums, congas,
rattles, hoop drums) plus flutes, digeridoos, kalimbas, bells, and other
simple melodic instruments (no guitars please). You may share with some of
the generous characters who tend to show up at these events and bring lots
of their own toys.
Improvisational play is what we love to do. In addition to drumming and
other forms of percussion, there is often chanting and dancing, flute
playing, and general silliness.
Check the High Valley web site
www.highvalley.org for directions, updates and general information. If
you have a friend who might be interested in the Percussion Jam, please feel
free to tell them about it. Suggested donation $10 ($5 for students) |

Full Moon

Wellington,
New Zealand.
Every full moon we have a garden bar setting to play
in. We have been going for about eight years, and it's a popular
event. The numbers vary, but a few hundred people, thirty to forty
drummers, fire jugglers and dancers gather around the fire. Often,
visiting musicians add spice to the mix. I have been a regular since
the beginning and have seen it change and grow with time.
