Screen Painted Hoop Drums
To give you a painted drum at a
reasonable cost, we initiated the screen painted drum. We chose
designs that have a special meaning to many people. We've found
that often a person feels a strong attraction to a certain animal or
bird and want their drum to carry that image. Each design represents
a special traditional story.
To find the cost of screenprinting
a drum: Please refer to our
basic
drum prices, then add $30.00 for the black screenprint.
Add $60.00 to our
basic
drum prices for color to be added to these black screenprints: Northwest
Orca, Raven Stealing Sun, Northwest Eagle, and Covenant. Add $70.00
to our
basic drum prices
for multi-colors to be added to these screenprints: Black Bear Medicine,
Raven Stone and Water Frog, Grandmother's Earth Web, Birth Death &
Rebirth, Abundant Blue Corn Deer, Snake, and Celtic Tree. To have
your drum dyed add $25.00 to the
basic
drum prices. Remember to list the colors you would like added on
the screenprint design when you place your order.

Choose the type and size of drum you would like, or alternatively,
create your kit and mail it to us. Any screen print can be applied
to any drum (subject to the notes on each individual page).
Most screenprints fit on 15" or larger size drum. These drums
are ceremonially and reverently printed with environmentally friendly
water-based acrylic paint.
Many of the prints are hand-painted by our staff after the print process.
For those who would like to put some of their own energy into their
drums, all our prints are available in basic black, suitable for hand
painting with acrylic paint. If you paint it yourself, we
recommend sealing your drum with Artist's Matte Fixative after it has
been painted.
